Introducing Sandy Beach Matté finish made only by theglazekitchen! I'm Very proud of this glaze, at first it was actually an accident, I ended up running some glaze tests and this was one of the results. At that time it wasn't what I was trying to create. So I discarded it for some time. One thing that stood out to me was how smooth the Matté finish was, I never threw out the test tile I kept it on my desk. It feels great to the touch, it is super smooth! Even when applied thick. A good friend Kellie said that it looked like sand and I agreed! She went on to testing combinations using Sandy Beach & Stroke n Coats, The Beach Combo was born!! Use the code kellie at checkout if you made it this far! Here is a link to Kellies' combo give her a follow on instagram, & please let her know theglazekitchen sent you, she'll be happy to hear :p
Sandy Beach should be used as an outside decorative glaze only. The Matté finish is not (liquid) food safe, If it is used as a platter for dry food like chips it maybe okay, use at your own risk. I'll send out a sample and post the results once I get them back, lab results are for what leeches from the glaze into a liquid so it's hard to say for a platter for dry foods.
One (1)Pint (473ml) of mid fire brush on ceramic glaze.
Cone 5-9 fired results may change depending on temperature & clay body
The glaze is displayed on a Bmix-5 Test tile
